Aminata Toure is a Senegalese politician who served as the Prime Minister of Senegal from September 2013 to July 2014. She was the second woman to hold the position in the country's history. Toure was born on November 12, 1962, in Dakar, Senegal. She is a graduate of the International School of Dakar and received a degree in economics from Cheikh Anta Diop University. Toure began her political career as an advisor to the Ministry of Economic Development and International Cooperation. She later served as the Minister of Youth, Sports and Employment from 2012 to 2013 before being appointed as prime minister. Toure is known for her efforts to combat corruption and promote transparency in government. She is also a strong advocate for women's rights and has been involved in various initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality in Senegal.
